I got what I think are some yellow protopalythoas a couple days ago. Looking for information on care, rate of reproduction and anything else you may have to offer. The pic is bad. I will try to get a better one to post.

Ill tell you what I have to offer..... $5! Ship them this way!!

If they take off like my other palys, I'll definitely start trading.

I assume the the basics are the same as my green/red palys, but would like input from someone with some insight.
Where are you and what do you have to trade?

Sounds good

Clove polyps aka Palm tree coral. Is about the only thing interesting I have, and its growing fast. Everything else I have is fairly common. I have some eagle eye zoos, gsp, brown palys with orange mouths. and some more common stuff. None of my stuff is really ready to frag yet unfortuantly except the clove polyps are spreading fast. I would be willing to maybe purchase some if they do take off and you have a few heads to get rid of.

those are yellow polyps. they are photosynthetic but they'll also catch food floating around. I never feed them anything.
They are really hardy and will multiply like crazy.

Usually they get rated for med light but always seem to enjoy higher lighting.
JME but they move around the tank and start thier little groupings. Some really reach for the light while others stay lower. Beware they can be invasive and agressive towards neighbors. Nothing crazy and you have plenty of exp. They wont take over but they will multiply like mad if left unchecked. Best to try and keep them with a buffer of smal rubble between where you place them and a neighbor. This way you can pull the small rubble peices as they expand. It will keep the colony's size in check and keep you stocked with healthy frags to trade off.
Easy to care for.

when I had some I just kept them like any other zoas and they spread at a descent rate. then my cleaner shrimp decided to munch on all of them

Thanks. I've already moved them up and they seemed to like it.
