Yellow Polyps ?

My colony of Yellow Polyps have closed and have not opened for two and a half days. They have never done this before and I am not sure why they have done this. Here are my specs:
Ammonia- 0.0 ppm
Nitrite- 0.0 ppm
Nitrate- 10 ppm
PH - 8.2
Salinity- 1.023
Temp - 77 F
Calcium- 400 mg/l
Any clues?

That's definitely weird. My thinking is that they are stung by another coral that you have. How close are your other corals?

Yes it can be a coral or some other thing bothering them. Try to look closely to the colony, check for some unwanted guests.

Well none of my other corals are close to them at all. My flower pot is about 9-11 inches away. my plate coral is on the substrate and my anenome is not even close. Not sure it is very puzzling. If I dont see anything on the rock that could be bothering them. If I get a good pic I will post it.

Ok ; other factors that can affect them ;
1) Did you changed the powerhead positions or their timers ?
2) Did you feed them with something different ?
3) Did you move the rock to another spot ?
4) Did you changed your lights ?
5) Did you make a water change before they closed ?
These are the questions I can come up with so far ?

when I had my reef in the 20, I noticed mine closed up as well, not to mention disappearing, well one night after I had shut the lights off, I went with a flash light a few hours later and shined the light on these guys and you would not believe what I saw, they were being eating by these cockroach looking bugs, there were all over my yellow polyps, I still don't know what those bugs were, but things are better since in the 75.....lol I still have the bugs, it's a thought.

I had the same problem and what I discovered is this-
Nitrates and phospahtes had to be at 0, otherwise the polyps would shrivel and die. They are supposed to be hardy but from what I've found they're quite picky. Only when I moved them to a tank with perfect water did they begin to recover. :)
