Yellow Sea Cucumber

The yellow ones I believe are filter feeders. I have one orange and grey ff and 1 sand sifter (black knobby) both doing well.

Thanks for the replies, the yellow ones are filter feeders for sure. I heard they were the most toxic if they die in the tank or get attacked by a fish. Filter feeders that is, any filter feeder.

There are many kinds of (yellow)cukes. There are mopper and filter feeders so you need to know what your getting =species name not common names
 
I have two yellow cukes in my 40 gal/reef. They do a great job in keeping the sand sifted. And I can always tell where they have been by the sand (poop I call them :eek: ) pellets they leave behind.
The sand "swallowers" or "moppers" like I have actually injest sand, take what they want, mostly bacteria, and "poop" out the perfectly formed sand pellets behind them. Fascinating to watch, and viewed with a high powered hand held lens, quite strikingly beautiful.
