Im no expert but i read a lot and it seems that sebaes rarely if ever live past 4 months or so, and should be brown or dark green. yellow seems like it might already be dying. :(

Jsmarr, Hi welcome to our board, I see in your first post ever you ask how to take care of a creature you already have,, this seems to happen alot in this hobby, we all have done it no one is perfect we all here to learn, Hopefully others will read this and learn also,
Please learn before you aquire,
Now, I got a yellow sabae, actually 2, a few months ago, one I traded to a friend, dead in a week, the other I still have,
need lots of light and good water, feed silversides and or clam , shrimp or mussles,Good luck , here is what it looked like when I got it,

Yeah the bad news is that yellow is not a naturaly occuring color in the wild. people dye the coral to exoctic colors to help them sell faster and all that ends up happening is the coral has a short life expectance there are some that have been nurced back to health but it is rare. I would return it back to LFS if it were me.
FWIW

ah- dont you love it- buy it then research:rolleyes: -
if you know nothing about them then take it back- you WILL kill it. Do your research before you buy!
