Yellow Tang and Flame Angel

The fish will be in a 160. As of now they will be a in 55, waiting for the new stand to be built could be 30 days max I hope. The tang is at a LFS and the guy who wanted it never showed up to get it and this store does not keep SWF on hand, its in a 10g now I can have it for $15.

So the flame angel is in the 55 now, and you'd add the tang until the new tank is up?
How big is the tang? You'll be fine for a couple months or so, but keep in mind the time needed for the new tank to cycle and get established enough for both fish. Realisitcally you're looking at closer to 3-4 months.

I have to tell them friday if I want the tang or not. Theres only 5 fish in the 55g now and we would like to add some more color to it. Ive been looking for a yellow assessor but there no where to be found. 1 or 2 fish would be nice. What we have now is a sixline, a royal gramma, flame angel a blennie and a false clown there were 2 a couple of days ago but one went MIA

All of that switching into a newer tank will be more than enough. I would not get any new fish right now, wait until the new tank is stable. It will take about 4-5 months.

I had them both in my tank, I had gone to the pet store to get a flame and to my suprise the pet store had them both in the same tank (maybe 20 gal ) ??? and would not sell one w/o the other. It was a great addition to my tank.

Ok, Your posts have been a bit confusing. I thought you were thinking of a flame and the YT was comming after the flame. What have you bought and what are your plans?

I would wait until your new tank is filled and then purchase the fish and QT for 4 weeks and then add it to the larger tank.

Yes, your tang will be fine with your flame angel, mine was added that way also and no problems at all.
