yellow tang fading

yellow tang little white around the face, is this normal?
When i first got him from a friend looked malnutritioned,could see ribs and was pretty white color hasn't changed much but he is a damn good eater.
I feed it letucce,marine flake and mysis shrimp , any tips?for the color loss?

try spectrum pellet foods. Enhanses their color. Also, what are your water conditions like? what type of light also?
