yellow tang fin erosin

my tangs fin seems to be eroding away what could cause this?

If it is the top fin it is farily common on a yellow tang. I am assuming you are talking about the unicorn appearence now. No one seems to be able to tell me why this happens but it is alright. Makes your fish special.
