Yellow Tang, looks funny.....HELP!

Just added a Yellow Tang tonight he had one yellow stripe on each side. He's been in the tank about 2 hours and the yellow stripes are now white. What's happening? Is he ok?

Yellow tangs will change color with different lighting, as do most fish. My yellow develops a rusty strip under actintic lighting. It sounds normal to me unless the white stripe is fuzzy or grainy looking. If so, you may have problems.

Its normal. At night when the lights go out it will be white.

Yea they will cause some panic if you never had one before. I turned on my lights after the first night I got him and he scared me half to death. All white. Normal...
