Yellow Tang needs help

He has been in the same tank for almost 3 years no new roomates.Now he has lost almost alll his color and his sides have sunk in stays in a c shape :help: :help:

Yeah how big is your tank and fish? Sounds like what happaned to my mother's Koi fish, when she didn't move them to pond I built for her. She stunted the growth, so the fish started to curl.

He's in a 55 gallon with only 4 other fish a 2 starfish.The tang is just under 4 inches been like this for about 2 days now I'm thinking the he's not eat but this is not my tank I'm helping a freind that owns a pet shop I help out alot with her fish and plants

Auriga butterfly six line wrasse ocellaris clown three spot damselfish and a blue damselfish all very small the biggest is the butterfly who is about 5 inches

What are you feeding him? It sounds like it could be an improper diet. Is there LR in this tank for the tang to graze? Does he get nori sheets? What are the water parameters?

His diet is great same foods for almost 3 years. Not sure of the water numbers they were great but store close now with check it out again.I know his diet is great I'm sure of that but don't understand why this is happen to him.I'm new to saltwater but have been in to fish for 22 years

there is about 60 pounds of lr in tank

No offense but just saying it's great does'nt help...post the foods and water parameters if you can. Maybe we can help this way. Something is obviously amiss or the tang would'nt be thin. Without details there is no way to speculate what the problem could be.

Sorry didn't get back to you sooner had to save a mistreated Oscar that i have no idea where to put her after she gets better.Bad news on the tang she is gone we think one of the starfish got her saturday or sunday when the store was closed. Forgot the list of food they where feeding the tang.Thank for trying to help.
