:) Hello everyone, I
Need some help here. I
Just bought a Yello Tang:happy: and he has been doing good until yesterday night:happy: . Now it is swimming and then he starts like going crazy or like moving his body, trying to get something away from him. Like moving his body or shacking.:jumping: I'm planning on buying:notsure: a Neon Goby and Cleaner Shrimp:happy: probably it has some parasites that they could both eat from the yellow tang:cheer: . Could that work?:nervous: . Please write me back here, or if you can it would be better if you write me to my email with subject, Yellow Tang...
Thank You,

Can you please post a picture of the yellow tank? I don't see any fish in that tank. Details needed.

Hello, I just bought a cleaner shrimp to see if it does anything to the Yellow tang, I found like some dark little tiny spots, and I
m guessing those are parasites that cleaner shrimps or neon gobies eat, or cleaner wrase. I hope my Tang gets better. I'll post a reply later on on how it is doing.

Those black dots are likely black ich and they need to be treated with formalin bathes [procedure is detailed in the FAQ Thread at the top of forum].
Can you post a picture of your tang?

Hi, everyone:notsure:
My Cleaner shrimp that I bught just died today morning. I don't know what was wrong. I got my salanity at 20, could it be that. Another thing that I'm thinking is that I have bought some cleaner shrimps from that store too before and have died. I bought two from some other side and they have been well until one of my pistol shrimps killed them or the emerald crab since they never ate what I gave them because they where always hidding. I say that because they used to just dissapeared, and this one that I bought was dead. I don't havethe crab or pistol shrimp anymore. But my peppermint shrimp that I bought too is still alive and the hermit crabs. Yes I would try to get a photo on tuesday or the yellow tang.

1.020 is a specific gravity reading. We need the temperature as well to derive salinity, the number that actually matters.

That salinity is too low for inverts, especially if the invert was acclimated from a higher salinity tank to your low salinity tank.
What are you using to measure salinity?

Using a precise instrument to measure, such as a refractometer, it should be around 1.024-.025.
Don't use swing arm hydrometers. They are so off the mark that they are a hazard, in my opinion.
