if the tangs are 'Tubby' I'd hate to see what you'd call my Mandarins.

kc36330- Really good looking Tang and Mandarins! I noticed yours has a white color for the top fins. Is that because of the region the tang came from. Mine has yellow along the top? Just curious. Don't know why.

I thought if they had a yellow top fin they were blonde's and a black top fin they were Hawaiian. I also thought the blondes were a little lighter gray in color. I guess I'll have to wait a while to find out if mine is male or female.

well the term Naso is used to as an in general. there are if memory serves me correct 16 sub species of Naso's with the one's in the hobby falling under Naso lituratus. I'm sure all of them come from the Indo-Pacific (Hawaii, Indian Ocean, and the Red Sea) with most being imported from the Red Sea with Hawaii in second place. the color doesn't really dictate what location they came from. also not all males will have streamers.
If your lucky enough to get to see a Unicornfish in your LFS it's a Naso as well.
