yellow tang

i j ust got a small yellow tang yesturday and i put green algae in there and he hasnt touched it but then i fed the rest of the fish frozen brine and cyclops ezz and he devoured the brine is it ok fro him to eat just that and no algae

i wold only feed him a little once there comfterble they shold eat algea mine took abot 5 min b4 he started picking at rock and will not eat frozen or flake i feed others

it won't be okay for the yellow tang to just eat brine. a diet parallel to what they eat naturally would include less meaty and more green food. good items to feed include:
nori, formula 2, emerald entree

i have formula 2 and seaweed selects so well see if he starts eating it.

Just put a veggie clip with your nori or seaweed sel. and let it drop at the bottom of the tank, don't put on glass. make sure the clip is on the other side of the live rock facing away from you. new tangs need time to adjust and I.m.o they take to eating veggies quicker when not spooked. I have done this with mine at least.
