i got my yellow watchman goby yesterday and acclimate for about 2 hours. put him in when the lights turned off at 10. he is doing really good. today he hate a lot of frozen brine shrimp soaked with zoecon. so i research before i got him and read that they like to burrow. i was wondering why my isnt burrowing. does he have get use to the area around him first or is something wrong with him? oh and i have live sand that have little pebbles from the subtrate before and the sand bed is about 1 1/2 inches deep.

Give the little guy some time it takes time of them to settle in but once they have you will notic that they have a personality of there own

If he's the only fish it's possible that he won't burrow. I have a mated pair in my refugium and they hang out under the chaetomorpha algae mass on the surface of the sand. When they were in my DT with other fish (percieved predators) they created a nice big home with 2 exits for a quick getaway :)

It took my watchman about 2 weeks before it created a burrow. Until then it hid near the rocks. Give it time

My YWG does not burrow at all. I have two other fish, which are both bigger than my YWG. I think it just has to do with personality. I've had him for 6 months.
