Yoshii's 3 Gallon Pico!

Thanks! I actually got the idea from someone else, just didn't do it exactly how they did :)
Start a pico!

Oh, today I went to Petsmart and picked up 30lbs dry sand (to add to my 20gal) and I don't really like the darker sand look I have right now in this tank with the beach sand, so I'm going to replace it with some nice white oolite sand I'll take from my 20gal (hopefully no sand storm in this tank then)
Do you think I should also use the white sand in my fuge too? No one's really going to see it, but maybe the oolite would work better for a DSB?

This thread makes me want to do a pico soooo bad. Looking good so far yoshii. Can't wait to see how this advances.

Yeah I actually want to do a few purely for having inverts. maybe I will set up a tank in a fashion that you would find at a LFS with multiple sections. But I'm not sure yet. All I know is I want to showcase some crabs!!!

Tri of Sexies?
Or 1-2 pom-pom crabs :) Those would look awesome in a pico since they get lost in larger tanks. Easier to see and feed too.

I've got tri sexies and 2 poms already in my 24 ([pom] possibly only one now, since I haven't seen my male but my female keeps producing and carrying eggs).
I was thinking about a bunch of stuff, Harlequins, sponge crab, crazy hermit/snail tank, lobster, shame face crab, pistol shrimp (possibly with goby), coral banded, skunk or fire shrimp, teddy bear crab, arrow crabs, and possibly others I can't think of right now. Whatever I decide on they will be separated and showcased. And I probably wouldn't add corals.

Sounds awesome! Lol my LFS has some invert showcase cubes they want to get rid of, they're all connected too, too bad you don't live closer :(
Wouldn't feeding the harlequins pollute the water too much?
Teddy bears are awesome, but I want coral, so no teddy bears for me :(

Ohh, just finished testing my water :D
Ammonia:0
Nitrite:0
Nitrate:5-10
Yaaay!
Do you guys think I should pick up dwarf ceriths/ceriths tomorrow? If not, the next time I would be able to go to my LFS would be next next Sunday.

Here are some of the corals that will be goning in the tank (not now of course)
I'll wait a bit for the palys to grow, frag a few to put in here. I'll take a tiny piece of the GSP and put it on the rock branch, I'm also going to cut of 1 stalk of xenia for this tank.

Looking good! I would go ahead and pick up the ceriths. The way you set up the tank, I would think your cycle is good!

Thanks, Shrimpy!
I think it's ok to PM me, right? :)
I've read they're only available a few times a year though
