Yes, I do feel this way sometimes. That's ok though, it's what makes us buddies. Kinda makes me wish we were closer so we could go to a bar together or something instead of being the geeks we are stuck in front of our computers every night.... lol

To be honest, I don't mind much if the Aquarium slows down... it's probably a much needed change. It feels like it's already slowing down and I'm finding myself wishing there was more activity... I get really bored at night, although I'm having to go to bed earlier because of my commute.

Homemade waffles are the best... I like them either with syrup or strawberries and whipped cream.

Turkey, lots of bacon, real cheddar cheese, mayo, lettuce, sourdough.

I've never tried it... not worth the risk of heart attack.

Should I get rid of my clowns and put other fish in there? (they think the whole tanks is their territory.)

Not sure, but you should DEFINITELY get rid of your PC's and get a mac.
And you've just said the problem. Get rid of the PCs (plural) and get a mac (singular). I'd rather have 3 PCs for the price of one Mac.

It isn't a problem at all, though I'm gald you caught that, because here's what I mean:
You could have 3 Ford Festiva's, or 1 Lexus GS450h.
The Choice is ultimately yours. I chose the lexus.

umm no, that analogy doesn't work. The simple fact still remains, the only reason macs have enjoyed relatively few security risks isn't because of their "brilliant code" but because they are so small no even bothers to mess with them. I can do the exact same thing if bit more with the same amentities with a PC at a 1/3 the cost. I'm going to chose 1/3 the cost. And don't say macs look cooler either. Have you seen a full tower mac?

Wait a second... hackers haven't designed viruses for mac's because there aren't enough on the market? What a dumb explanation. Dude, there are enough mac's in this WORLD (yes, Apple IS worldwide) with enough pull to draw enough attention to hackers.
The code isn't brilliant. It's simple and it's packeted, so it's much more difficult to design something to intrude upon it's platform. Every program lives in it's own "house" and lays completely dormant until activated.
IE7, however, is loaded with holes. And you fight like it's the best thing since shirt pockets. You talk like Vista is a beautiful thing. It's just sad dude.
You don't need to win me over on price either. I've built my own custom PC's in the past... I've purchased video cards from AGP4x to PCI Express to cards in SLI... I remember buying pentium 4, Dual Core... I've purchased Abit and Asus MoBo's... I know all the brands of RAM (Corsair is the best). I know PC pricing. I know XP through and through, and installing drivers is nothing foreign to me. I speak DOS. And with all this knowledge....
Mac is better than PC.
I've got a great idea. Perhaps you should do more homework before you make a decision. Just because your wife owns a mac and you look at it every now and then doesn't mean you're versed in it's in's and out's. Use a mac for a week with an intel chip in it, THEN tell me which is better. Edit videos on FCP. Set up a network. Set up network printing. Nothing is easier to set up than mac's and netowrk printing.
Seriously man, how can you comment on a book if you've never read it? IF you have limited experience with a Mac, then don't act like you can make an experienced decision.

I have, and I've still reached that opinion. Ok, I haven't setup a printing network with a mac. But it can't be easier than typing in an address of the print server then double clicking on the icon for the printer.
I've done professional graphic design and layouts on CS3 suites in both PC and Mac. (I haven't edited video) I'd do it on a PC if I had a choice. (the only advantage of a mac was a wider selection of brushes that I could download but that has nothing to do with the system)
An under powered mac is just as unstable as an underpowered PC. (and I know, my wife had 512k of ram in a mac for some reason) try running CS3 with that much ram and tell me how many times it crashes.
And if Macs are soo secure why do they recomend you running antivirus on a mac? The simple fact is a malware writer can exploit Mac X with the same ease that they can a PC. But why mess with the 10% when you can mess with the 90%. If you really think Macs are soo secure why did this happen?Macs hacked before Vista

I'm not the only one who thinks this.
"The only thing which has kept Mac OS X relatively safe up until now is the fact that the market share is significantly lower than that of Microsoft Windows or the more common UNIX platforms.... If this situation was to change, in my opinion, things could be a lot worse on Mac OS X than they currently are on other operating systems," said Archibald at the time. Linky

Actually, it's simpler than that. You have the mac do a search for printers on the network, double click on the ones you want to add and you're done. No IP addresses, no driver installation, nothing. And it just works.
I remember the nightmares I've had with PC's and network printing. Getting the IP addresses right, even if they're dynamic. Having to deal with Netgear print servers and all that. I remember spending an entire day trying to get 3 PC's to print on a network printer. It was hell. If those were 3 mac's, it would take me 5 minutes.

Pixar uses mac's. The Incredibles movie was done on a mac. It's simply a more stable platform. I had custom-built a PC (2gb corsair ram 667mhz, water-cooled, 2x500gb drives, nVidia Geforce 8800GTOC PCI Express 16x, Intel Pentium D 3.0ghz) and would run Adobe Permiere 6.5, then 7.0, then Premiere Pro 1.5 and EVERY time I used it to edit videos, it would crash. I had all my drivers updated. I had XP updated. I had my 500gb drives in RAID0 but changed them back to independent drives and I still had problems.
From my experience, PC's are pretty unreliable. Though I like Dell the best... they seem to have the most seamless integration of hardware and XP likes it. HP I've had problems with here and there. But even on my Dell XPS laptop, premiere would freeze. I tried pinnacle and it was a little better. Got Avid Liquid and it worked OK.
But I just can't get the mac to slow down. When I click a button or move a cursor over video, it doesn't glitch. there's no video clipping. I never have to worry about it crashing unless I don't have enough ram, but even when I don't, it still works. You just begin to see problems like clipping and glitching.

I COMPLETELY disagree. Let me ask you, how do you know this? Or is it just a guess? Because I can GUARANTEE you that you're wrong. Let me give you an example. I played Splinter Cell:DA on my mac, and it was a PC only game. I loaded XP on it. The minimum requirements for the game was 256mb's of vram. My mac had 128 mb's. It ran the game without ANY clipping or frame loss. With this example alone, it shows that PC programs, when applied to the mac, CAN run (in some cases) on half the resources. The reason behind this? My guess is that it has something to do with Apple's development... seamless integration by contracting with other companies, Apple's engineers working with engineers at ATI or nVidia to create a custom mobo and card designed specifically for the apple product. This is why the mac rarely crashes. If it does crash, it's usually because of a software problem.
Also, I've never had to worry about drivers on a mac. Because all the hardware was designed for each other, it's all built-in to the firmware. THAT ALONE makes the Mac better than a PC.

When did I ever say that it's impossible to put a virus on a mac? Please quote me saying once that i said Mac's can NEVER get a virus. I understand that it's still possible, just not likely. Call it un-popularity, call it packeted data. At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter WHY there aren't viruses for mac's... it matters that viruses for mac's basically don't exist. That alone is something I'd want to buy into. If that changes in the future, big deal... I'll spend the $40 and get McAfee's help. But for now, I browse the net worry-free.

Also, I have a PC at work... an HP. It's a workstation computer - it's case has never been opened, it's firmware and drivers never tampered with. Yet for some reason, the DVD drive is no longer recognized by XP. I tried getting it through Computer Mgmt inside of Control Panel. I've checked Device Properties and it has drivers and they're updated, but for some reason, it's not detecting the drive. I tried associating the drive with a letter, no luck. I replaced the drive with another one, no luck. I have to put disks in my mac, transfer them onto a thumb drive, then get it onto my PC that way. This really isn't helping my hate for PC's.

It does when I'm paying 3 times the price for a more "secure" system. When in reality it isn't more secure. Just no one bothers to mess with it.

i had that issue with xp as well, on an ibm machine though. all of a sudden one day both the internal and external cd/cd-rw were "unavailable".

I guess you didn't read all the other reasons why a mac is better. OR this is the only one-up you have against mac's. It's ok dude... it just comes down to preference, really. Some prefer nicer things that run well... some don't mind banging their head (or
) against machines that don't work as well.
Let me just ask you one question. Was this little schpeel we just had completely in vain? Or did I offer some perspective from my side of the fence? Because from this side, it looks like you're only going to hear what you want to hear.
P.S. Mac's have a 10% market Share. In 2007, however, it was 7%. Something must be said about that. I'm curious to see what 2010's percentage will be. The truth is it's growing. That's undeniable.
Also, Windows 7 copies even more features from osx. Even though Microsoft thinks it might give them the upper hand, the reality is that it will make the transition to mac's easier because of it's new-found familiarity to Windows 7.
Here's what Vista ripped off OSX, which mac's have had for years, and it's new for Vista:
