You Are NEVER going to believe this

i cannot believe what i have found in my 24 gallon nano cube. there are two of these bristle worms, both in the same rock. each probably AT LEAST 5" long, possibly more. these have to be the nastiest things i have ever seen! I am really worried though because i have three peppermint shrimp in my tank, is it possible that these things could kill them?

I don't think they'll kill your pep's but if ya want them out,at night put some food in fornt of there hiding spot let them come out a grab them with tweezers..

Bristle worms are beneficial scavengers. Keep them.

Yes and with the problem with hair algae you have they are a good clean up crew critter.

those l;ittle guys are small. I have one in my holding tank that is over 16 inches long

I was doing some rearranging today, and moved a rock and behold i found a massive one, and i also found out where 5 of my mexican red legs went, under that rock ate to bits. stupid worm.

i got two hugh ones that i know of, iam still confused, some people say they are good and some say take them out after they have reached a bigger size..
is there any reason why to take them out.???
i was told that they could eat coral and snails??
any thoughts?

I have one that's at least 2ft. long and hasn't harmed anything in my tank. If/when a fish dies the mess is cleaned up before I even notice and it helps prevent that ammonia spike.

I agree those are small I have a couple that are more than 8" long and a little bigger in diameter than a pencil. Not sure on the total length as I have never seen them completely out of the sand.

i have some in my tank too, they are beneficial to me and clean up
if they get to big i will remove but for now im ok with them, the biggest are about 6 inches
