You Guys "R" Good, Try This One

I just went thru about 20 or so Hitchhiker threads and you guys have answered all of my questions except one:
Anyone have an idea what this is?
Probably can’t tell from the picture, but it looks like some kind of egg sack.
Its texture, best described, looks like that of a potato chip. Its solid not soft looking.
At first it was solid, no holes, now it has a very small hole, size of a pencil lead, as if something has left.
I don’t know how long it has been on the LR because I just got it a few days ago at the LFS.
Thanks for any help.

I thought a sponge would be more porous not solid like this is. I have what I believe is a sponge because it looks like a q-tip.
So you think this could also be one?

Thanks for the responce.
After doing a google search on Colonial Tunicate, I'm still not sure.
From the pictures on the net Colonial Tunicate seems to spread out more. Mine is small, and looking rounder, but that doesn't mean it wont grow!
Also it seems like Colonial Tunicate is something you don't want in your tank.

I'll keep an eye on it and post back.
