Computers in the 80s
everything was "IBM compatible."
You had either an XT or an AT.
There were NO hard drives, you booted and ran your computer off 720K disks.
You were psyched when the new orange monitors came out, no longer just green monitors!
Great list early

Ha, I ended high school in '81.

I had no clue what a computer was, but Asteroids was cool. Kinda remember the old Apple ...commander???... forgot what it was called.
Atari was the shizzit.

I had a Coleco Vision. It looked like it had tv remotes for controllers. It had a ton of buttons, which only 1 or 2 worked. Dig dug all the way!

OMG! My first *computer* was an Amstrad 646 or 464 or something like that. I got my first experience in programming with an old Spectrum that you hooked into a TV. Oh those were the good days :lol

In computer class you studied "Basic Programing" and you know what "If - Then" means
It was one of my proudest moments, I'll never forget when I was able to create a program that allowed you to input 3 random numbers and then it rearrange them in cronological order
I even went to RadioShack after school to work on the TRS80
enter > 12 65 08 and then the dang thing would show them like this 08 12 65

The commercial with the elderly lady who said "I've fallen down and can't get up" It was a remote controlled signal device to call 911 if you've fallen and couldn't get up that people would wear around their necks. Its a classic commercial.
Kinda like Mickey and Where's the Beef

I am surprised (or I missed it) that nobody has complimented the hair of the 80's. Except for a good afro was there ever a hair style that could be bigger and more flambouant than some of the high school girls or the male rock and roll bands?

My ex husband and my friend's brother used more than I did though! This list is hilarious
