I saw that when I was looking. You can go through and pick any piece they make and make your own set. I'm not sure how much it would cost but I'm sure once you put about 800 pieces together it would be pretty expensive but it is an option.

Yes they do and they are still the same ones. ToysRUs has them. They are listed as "Classic".

Nope. All theme based. I guess it's a better marketing tool to make you buy 10 playsets instead of one big generic to build whatever you want.

I've seen (annd longed for) the big buckets of random Lego pieces at places like Wal-Mart. (You're never too old for Lego!!)
