Hello,
I am looking for more ideas for a home made fish food. Yesterday, I bought some shrimp, mussel, scallops and mixed this and some seaweed selects, with zoe, brine shrimp, formula one. Blended it to a fine mush and froze it. My fish loved it!! Anybody add anything else??

goofieones That sound too good to feed to the fish. You ever taste it yourself???I don't mix food,I do give a varried diet though.I feed(on alternating days) brine, mysis, krill and fish meal pellets, premium flake, and seaweed selects with ZOE daily.

Usually I get a big variety at the fresh seafood counter at the grocery store as they prepare a mixed seafood [that people usually use to make salad]. This usually has squid, scallops, muscle, shrimp, octapus, etc., etc. I pretty much mix up the food like you do, using seaweed selects, zoe and zoecon, and, becauce I have a tang with HLLE, I also experiment with carrots [finely shreeded]. I don't use frozen food anymore because, if you read the contents lable, most of it is moisture. The fresh prep is 100% natural, no water added. The only additive in the mix is the Zoe or Zoecon. Sure does stink, though, after mix and prep...lol

Yes, it smells!!! And I never liked sea foods, and after peeling some shrimp and seeing what scallop really looks like, I can't beleive people eat this stuff, some even eat it raw!! YUK. But I'm glad the fish like it.
