Don't misinterpret observations. Emerald Crabs work for you, not the other way around. They work best when hungry and are paid minimum wage.

Why do you think that happened? What did you learn from that experience?
About 4 months into my tank (about 1 year and a half ago), I had 4 emerald crabs. Then 3, then 2, then 1. They died quickly.
I finally found that it was my water change procedure. The crabs died within a day or 2 after water changes. It seems I was adding too much water too fast without trying to match temp, pH and such (the tank was still new without stable parameters). My hamfisted manner shocked inverts. Now I know better.
It is important that you learn from these things.

There is one body remaining. It is in back of the coral reef/live rocks. Probably it should be called rocks with coral bits to be quite honest. My pet store pro says it is okay to leave that last one in there because the coral does not need to be stressed any more with the complete upheaval that it will take to get it out. He says the crabs will eat it and then all will be fine.
When do you think I could get a few more crabs?

I think they have a very short life expectancy, or they just cannot deal well with change. I always kept pristine water conditions, it just...died. I learned that I will not buy another emerald crab.
