Yumas

I have been looking at possibly getting some Yuma's,I have read they are hard to keep from melting. I do have some Florida Rics that are doing well, but am a little leary to spend upwards of $50 on Yuma's if I won't be successful with them. Any suggestions for keeping Yuma's?

Like any thing, theres always a risk..
I have both Yuma and Floridia and in my experiance, Yumas are a little more light sensitive, Meaning they dont do well under too much light...I have MH on my tank and the yumas have not melted up high in there but the ones I keep lower seem to open bigger and have reproduced. I dont have any scientific research to back that up but JME....

In Bornemans book he makes mention that florida ricordea have brighter colors, however, I've seen some pretty impresive yumas.

Not being an expert on Ric's and Yuma's, I would say there are much more unusual color combinations with Yuma's than Ric's.
