zebra moray

I just bought a 2.5 foot zebra moray yesterday for my 220 and was wondering how often i should feed him and what i should feed him. I have tried to feed him shrimp, krill and scallops. What else do you all think i should try to feed him.

mine only likes shrimp I tried other stuff but he only will eat shrimp I just soak it in selcon and feed until he doesn't want anymore.

Try squid... it has a pungent odor that really attracts morays since they don't see very well.

I try ever day or ever other day if he is hungry he will come out and get it if he doesn't want any when I feed the other fish he doesn't come out

My Zebra eats every 2-3 days, I'll feed the other fish in my tank, then try to see if he wants some. His about 18in if guess, and sometimes he will eat like a whole frozen cocktail shrimp, sometimes he will just eat like 1/4 of a shrimp. They can't really die of starvation unless you don't feed them for months.

i feed my zebra raw thewed out shrimp from the store, i get the 40-60 count of frozen and he eats like a pig,

and he is just over half the length of my 90 gal, about 2 1/2 feet long

I still cant get him to eat. when i put thefeeding stick by him he goes farther in his cave. When i got him from the pet store i made the feed him and he ate some krill but now he wont even go after anything. Do you think he is eating something at night cause i feed the just before the lights go out so maybe he is eating some leftovers. What else do you think i can feed him.

This could help you out but 2 weeks I bought a larger bamboo shark and I tried fedding her but no go. Then I did some water changes and lowered my salt level.25 to . 22. The next day she began feeding. Ask where you got the eel from what is the salintity and compare it to yours.

when i bought the eel i tested the salt level in the bag and it was 1.024 and mine is 1.025 so its not that far off but i will try to do that. Maybe he just isnt hungry
