well today i went to the lfs for water and came home with a zoa frag/elephant skin frag. on a unique shape and a ton of hitchers. so here are some pics. i also got 2 feather dusters but are so small i dont think i can get a pic of them but one i suspect to be a red coco worm or red x-mas tree like in a bisma rock but like i said no pics sorry.
first off i got between 6-8 zoa spiders stoped counting after this pic got maybe 2 or 3 more

this brittle star i think? black and white stripes. ID needed if there are any experts. if you can see it

not really a hitcher but elephant skin coral up for a trade if there are any reefers in the dallas/ft worth area that would like it i dont have MH's and they need MH's and high flow its green and red

also these starfish another ID needed nuisance or wanted? either way in the 10g for now

now for the zoa pic. i dont have a pro camera this was a camera phone. but my sis camera has a micro setting that i can take a pic with later anyway i call them "the red ring of death" yellow mouth, purple face, and 2 red rings

those starfish are Asterina Stars. Typically they are harmless algae grazers that live on the rock and glass. But sometimes they develop a taste for Zoos and if you see them anywhere near your Zoos, get them out.

Please please please if you still have some of those spiders, could I have them? I would pay for shipping of course.
I am so jealous! I know that sounds odd.

Oh, and yes that's brittle star legs in that second pic. Or mini or micro brittle star. Sometimes common names can be a pain... but it sure beats having to type out the scientific!!

I would not put that zoo frag in my DT. The spiders that you saw are probably not all of them. I would put that frag in a QT for about three months before possibly infecting the DT. Search this site for lengthy threads about spiders and how to get rid of them. Those little suckers can wipe out your zoos.

I've only run into them once and the specimen was dead. I've been wanting to photograph them for awhile. If you see more... think of me.

If you see more, and are willing to ship, I would take the chance. I would even send ya "packing" material to make it easier on you. :) It's for a hitchhikers guide I'm working on.
