Hey Everyone
Well I have heard all about fragging with super glue so I thought I would give it a try. I wanted to compile some of my favorite zoas and palys and glue them the a piece of tonga branch. A few were attached to some sort of material and others I sliced off of the mother colony via razor blade. I attached them using super glue gel, man that stuff is great for this. I took the specimen and cut a circle around the polyp and removed it as close to the rock as possible. I dried the spot on the tonga with a paper towel(just dabbed it a few times) where I was going to put the polyp and then dried the polyp bottom. I just dabbed it a few times with the paper towel and applied the glue to the base. I placed the polyp on the rock with just enough force to hold it inplace for 10 seconds and moved on to the next one. The whole process took 30 -40 min, I kept the fragged polyps in water untill I was ready to attach them and left the tonga branch on the table the whole time. All of the polyps with the exception of a couple opened the next day.
So for those of you thinking about doing some fragging I hope this helps.
Tell me what you think????
