Very nice pictures everybody! I'm not really into zooanthids, but here's my colony I bought awhile back. This colony consists of Light red, Orange, bright yellow, White with light green centers, orange with yellow centers, and yellow with orange/green centers. The picture was taken under a 10,000k Ushio.

Here's another shot. The only lighting that was on was a single 20,000k 400wt radium on the opposite side of where the zooanthids were located. No photo software was used to alter the coloration of the zooanthids.

Yes we do Testing Alkalinity and Calcium can be quite hard work, but it pays well
Also, thanks for the comment about the Zooanthus spp.!

that is some cool zoo's you have there if your no in to them i think there are some people here that would love to take them off your hands. i would love to have some my self.

Great looking zoo's everyone.
Infalable, they do go really fast. It seems that the LFS in our area get their new specimens in the middle of the week. By the weekend, everything is picked through. I've been trying to get more colorful ones for about 6 months now.
I didn't call ahead I just had some free time and got lucky. I've noticed that beside beyond the reef, Old Town aquarium in Chicago tends to have a lot of zoanthids.

Oh, no thanks. I've actually grown to liking them. What I meant by "I'm not really into zooanthids" was the fact that I wouldn't spend any money buying some (unless I came accross some bright blue ones). I'm not really too much of a zooanthid freak, but, I do think that my current zooanthids add some really nice color to the tank
