Zoo problem

Mine get agitated when my shrimp, fish, crabs, snails or anything else brush them, swim to fast by them, walk on them, etc.
Sometimes they close for no apparent reason for an entire day and then open back up the next day.
How long have them been closed?

What type lighting and how much? What kind of flow are they in? How long have you had them? Any possible predators? How long has your system been set up?
They look decent...not fully open....but that may be due to any of a number of minor issues.

265 watts of pc lighting. the seem to me to be in a light to medium flow area. they are in the middle of the tank. there is a peppermint shrimp in there although i have been looking for predators late at night and have not seen him eating anything. the tank has been up sonce june.

I am new at this hobby however I have 2 large zoo pieces like yours and when I replaced my halide with new light it bleached a few badly  I moved them over from the halide side of my tank and they came back around very quickly. I noticed that they dont like to get dusty/sandy either. Did you leave the lights on for too long? I also keep mine on the bottom of the tank. Good luck, Carrie
