any predators? i know mine died because of something in the tank: nudibranches. lost 2 colonies to it and the third colony is trying hard to stay alive. luckily i rescued my favorite one by fragging it
thats exactly how mine started to look

Mine are doing the same. I've already lost one colony to zoo pox and I believe I'm going to lose another.

Mine looked like that and after a few days they all died off. It happened to my Xenia too. All my other corals look fine.

I have some furan-2 if you need it to treat your zoos for pox.

I haven't tried Furan 2 yet.
Teresa I appreciat it and may take you up on it. The first infected colony is gone as of last week. I took them out and chucked them to try to save my remaining colony that at the time was not infected. Now that colony looks thinned out but does not have the "spots" and although a few polyps aren't opened, it doesn't appear to be pox from my observations with my first colony. I'm going to continue to observe and I'm going to try running carbon and a few water changes. If the situation gets worse or doesn't improve, I'll look you up. Thanks.

Well, i did my dip last night, i'll do two more over the next two days.
I'm a little worried that my furan-2 is a yellow powder, not a green pill like zoaid sais it should be, but the thread elsewhere says they all changed.
i did not see any change in the pox as of this morning, but i did finish the mod to my QT, and i think the zoos are a little freaked out by how much more light they are getting. these darn things are as bright as mh's.

I bought some 5.5" reflector clip on lights (~$6) and the spiral PC 75w equivalent 5500k bulbs (another ~$5) from home depot.

i've been trying the furan-2, but i think there may have been a misdiagnosis...
trying to get ophiura's opinion, but...notice anything on the polyp that shouldn't be there?
