What did you "dip" it in? And what good does this do? I've seen it referenced, but don't really know too much about it.
After 2 years in the hobby, just found this site and realized there is more to know than I even know what there is to know! LOL
Dipping won't help algae. If you post a pic of it someone here will probably be able to ID it and tell you best how to remove it
Most Algae has to be removed manually.
