adding carbon bag

Ok after the clarity issue i decided to use some carbon I only have the 2 sided sump so I put it inbetween the two sides Not seeing any flow But the water must pass through it to get through the other side I cannot see flow but it mstbe there is that ok for the carbon to be there?

I think it would be fine there, like you said there obviously has to be flow or else the water wouldn't go from one chamber to the next. Just make sure that you have some type of filter media before the water gets to the bag - so that food doesn't get stuck in the bag.
Make sure to replace the carbon every two weeks or so.

I have the hob overflow running down to a filter sock then I have the middle space whaere it used to be blue sponge now it is the carbon then the pump goes up

Carbon on the bottom is this ok?
