Sorry for the lack of news! It turned out he "forgot" to order the tang. Forgot meaning, couldn't get it? I am not sure. However, it is a good thing that I don't have it yet. I am going to be taking all of my fish out of my tank for 5-6 weeks to rid them (and the tank) of Ich. My new blue tang brought it in. :( But, I'll hopefully have the tang in a few weeks so that I can start to QT it. I'll take pics of it in QT. It will be coming.

Beautiful! Oh I can't wait to get one! Have the lighter parts of the tang filled in with black yet? How is he doing? How big is he? Can I ask how much you paid for it? Do you have anymore pictures?

Yeah, they are. But they can keep blowing smoke for about 6 weeks while my fish are out of the tank. I told them to hold off until I said I want it. After that time, if they keep it up then I'll really start to get pissed.

I'd say at least 7"+. If you need a contact to get you one let me know. The price was cheaper than what i said above. It's tough to get a good pic of him b/c I have a blackround and he always on the move. I got my best shot late last night. The blue sheen is so cool, especially under the actinics. Regards, Tim

Yes the tank is a 180 and may be moving to my 300. Eagle i would recommend getting a smaller black if that works with the other fish considering they are laterally compressed and he is almost as tall as he is long. From others I have spoken to, Blacks are one of the slowest growing tangs around. Nothing like the Naso group. Also he eats sheets of algae by the truckload and is the maniac swimmer that my PBT is. That is a Japanese Blotchy Anthias, (Holoanthias Borbonius) Check it out he's peaking out from under the cave from the last pic I posted of the Black Tang. Here's a few pics of the anthias closer up. Regards, Tim
