We are new to the forum and have a question about a small brown like anemone that appeared on one of my pieces of live rock recently. Someone has told us that it is bad for our reef tank. That it could hurt other corals and fish. I cant seem to find any pictures of things that can be bad for the reef does anyone have any recommendations. Already found that our eel has eaten our shrimp LOL. Cant decide to get rid of it or not but will keep it for when we set up our bigger tank. Then we will get some new shrimps.
Does anyone have any ideas where we can see pictures of bad species for the reef environment.

if it is growing out of a creavas in your rock and is able to retreat into the hole it is a rock anenome. They are considered a nusance as they tend to reproduce rapidly. Its like crab grass. they also sting and are harmfull to other corals. You can kill them by injecting them with any calcium supplement.
