Don't know about the turbo, but the classic kicks butt! pulls all kinds of stuff out. It did take a couple of weeks to break in. If you decide to get it, lemme know, and I'll pass on a couple of tricks I learned to make it work better.

To answer your question yes they can sit in a sump if you have a very large one. I drilled my sump so the pump sits in the sump, the Berlin sits next to it but still has a direct line.
