BTA throwing up slime

my bta opened its mouth WIDE and had this mucus stuff just trailing out of its mouth. the tips were deflated and the mouth was really really open. Hes twodays old inmy tank, and my clown has been hosting him kinda hard. he was fed a half piece of shrimp, is this just anemone poop or a sign of something bad?

Expelling wastes from digesting the shrimp............?

yes, expelling waste. normal , don`t get nervous.
once it expells the waste it will re-inflate. the clown should pull it all out.
make sure water quality is still good.
may take a day or two to re-inflate depending on your water quality.
when a anenome dies,it deteriorates like starfish do. will start to turn water very cloudy and the stench will make you want to hurl.
I`ve experienced this many times.
excellent water quality is key to keeping anenomes for a long time.
I`ve had two of mine for 3 years now.one condy and one L/T .

Ive got a pink tip thats constantly open/close/open/close/open....
the BTA is full oflife and looking good.
Ive got 130w of pc on 20gallons
3 small clams for the nitrate reduction
macro algae in the display and im setting up a small 3 gallon fuge to hold chaeto and rubble LR.
Im also running chemi-pure as the carbon in my penguin along with some rubble LR in there instead of the wheel.
Two power heads keep it all moving. does this soundlike enough to keep good water, or should i do some more. Ive got micro bubbler attached to one of my rotating powerheds that send out "millions" of bubbles in a haze. i only run it for 5 minutes a day. should i run it 24/7on a smaller setting?
