Can watchman gobies make holes through LR?

I doubt that they can actually "make" holes...but some can act much like my bi-color blenny...he has several holes that he hides in. He didn't actually bore the holes ... he just cleans them out and occupys them as he sees fit.

Certain watchman gobies will bore holes in live rock just as crocea clams do by secreting an acidic substance and dissolving the rock... just kidding... what NMreef said... and good one Innsmouth...

That's what I thought, just wanted to double check here. What makes it more "amazing" is that it had been there only a week and "bore" a hole at least 2 1/2 -3 inches deep, not to mention it was a little guy to boot. :rolleyes:
