Car noise question

I can't seem to find anything online that resembles this noise, so I thought I'd see if one of you know.
I just bought a 2006 Grand Cherokee w/ 30K on it. Clean carfax that shows regular maintenance. So, after driving it, I park it in the garage and every 10 seconds or so it will make a "ting" noise. I'm thinking it is probably something in the suspension and not a big deal, but its driving me nuts not knowing. Any help (even guesses) would be great.

The catalyctic converter and exhaust while cooling off, the metal will shrink and cause a "ting" sound.....
p.s. This explanation is when it has been driven and cooling off LOL

Most likely the heat shield shield on the catalytic converter cooling. Pretty common

HEYYYYY....isn't that what I kinda said

Lag time from writing and posting. I was going to clear it and then thought having a man to back up your opinion would lead credence to it.

Hit and miss. Mine timed out which is why the response was after the others. SHould have refreshed before posting it the second time.

Dude, I had a 2004 grand cherokee. It also made ting noises... but I fixed the problem - I traded it in for a toyota.

I'm not sure, I never stay in the garage long enough, but I think it goes for a couple minutes. Considering it hasn't been above 0 degrees for a couple days, it is probably just a hot/cold issue.
