Try sprinkling some fish flakes little at a time to get him up to the top. SInce hes aggressive im sure hes an aggressive eater. When hes at the top eating away. Swipe him up with a net. But you have to be really fast. Thats one way that i was able to get an unwanted fish out.

The guy that owns a LFS that my dads bought off since he was selling out of his garage has always used the same method. He has mastered this technique of using two nets. He uses one to chase the fish away and forces it to swim into another. It probably doesn't work as well with damsels - but it works real nice with larger fish
