That kind of medical office incompetence was in place long before the ACA. The cardio should be giving the results not interpretations from the primary. The reason you see a specialist is because the primary supposedly does not have that specialist expertise.

Their Email didn't work?? What the heck kind of excuse is that?
What do you expect from a place that won't prescribe hookers and blow. Hopefully the heart test was to check to make sure you are fit for a ****** prescription. Then you can get your own hookers and blow.

While this may be true, the incompetency rate has gone up dramatically. The amount of "paperwork" has increased dramatically. I know a couple of doctors who retired as a result of ACA. They said they spent so much time doing "paperwork" that they didn't have enough time to spend with their patients. Been to see a doctor lately? Notice how they only spend a few minutes seeing you now, when just a few years ago they would actually take time to explain details of your case? Now it's "in-and-out", because they have to see so many patients and do sooooo much record keeping. I used to rely on doctors to fill in all the blanks, but these days, I get all my information from the nurses... who do still take the time to fill in the blanks.

They have been in and out for a very long time in my exp. The reason is their earning power not any paperwork they have to do. LOL Doctors don't deal with the ins. paperwork whatsoever. That is what all the overhead staff do. The model for private practice now is quickly see your patient and move on to the next. If you can see 40 patients a day rather than 20, then your income just doubled. Also, most practices are hiring nurse practitioners or PAs to do a lot of their work for them....again now you have double the capacity to see patients and doubled your income. Also, no doctor is forced to take ACA, though that could change in the future.

I must have a good doctor. He talks my ear off.last time he got my back straight with a couple steroid shots and started teaching me about icebergs. Actually i have had alot of doctors over the years and most didnt spend much time with me or have a clue what to do.guess i found a good one now.plus he is pretty old and has had alot of the things i get.like gout and acid reflux .so far he has cured them all..

yeah so an update of sorts. had a dr apt this morning and i'm going for a CT scan in a couple hours.... they have put me on steroids and given me an injection of something or other. The injection hasn't done a damned thing and the prednesone is just making me hungry. He is thinking it may be a type of migraine so he's trying to break the cycle with the injection and steroids. and a ct scan to make sure everything is where its supposed to be between the ears... I told him there would be nothing to see on the ct scan, nothing at all.......

You need to get some growth hormone. Doctors dont prescribe it much.but its a fountain of youth in a vial.ask about it.i bet the docs have no clue what it does.its expensive and alot of injections.i would be doing it if i could afford it.its one of those things like testosterone replacement it works with no side affects .i bet i sound like a commercial for it .no i will say this .i self prescribe myself testosterone. After alot of research of course.i have been doing it for 2 yrs now.the drug companies dont like synthetic testosterone because its cheap ...works and no side affects to sell you more drugs.some day i plan to try growth hormone but have other things to spend the cash on.back to the growth hormone. Its not just for bodybuilding. Its corrects alot of things wrong in the body.i have done alot of research on it and come to the conclusion we could all live to 110 yrs old if we could afford the stuff.seriously now if you want me to keep goimg i will. But for now i will leave it at that

Break the cycle with pain killers not steroids. Don't let them keep you on steroids for more than a week.

Maybe a different doctor. Such as a neurologist. I would push for the CAT scan at this point. You need to see if their is something more than hot air in there (my attempt at bad joke :D)
Same doctor/nurse I had? LOL

the steroids are on a decending dosage, the pain killers are intended to break the cycle the steroids are for recovery. on the bright side the CT scan came back negative. So I talked to yet ANOTHER specialist and he suggested a chiropractor because the pain and tingling in his mind is screaming nerve/skeletal muscle type issues, which is what I have been saying from day one. I called a chiro he got me in 5 minutes after my call bless his soul, he a did a couple manipulative tests, and some soft tissue therapy, then sent me to have my neck x-rayed to ensure that there is nothing that will cause damage if he tries to straighten me out. The muscles he worked on feel pretty damned good right now, but he wont do more until he gets a look at the x-rays to make sure he isn't going to break me trying to fix me. I actually have hopes with this guy, he's actually listening to what I'm saying.

I was going to suggest a chiro but your exp with the osteopath seemed negative so I passed on it.

lol finally good news (sort of) at least the chiro took x-rays, I have a couple degenerated disks in my neck putting pressure on all kinds of stuff so my neck bones actually curve the wrong way etc etc. the good news is I wont need surgery yet, the bad news is he make make it a bit better but it's all down hill from here basically. so we are going to see how far he can improve it. after one manipulation the headache dwindled in about an hour to minimal, still having some arm pain/burning in the arm but this guy is way better than that omt quack was. several visits over the next couple weeks then we will see where we stand. Its crazy for the first time in like 25 days or so I barely have a headache!
