contamination

I had a child doing a school project while at work. She used spray paint
near my reverse osmosis water. For safety I decided not to use the
water. I dont know if I should re-use the bucket I guess not.
I rinsed the 1 gal container I use to get a gal at a time. The other bucket is 5 gal. The 1 gal was rinsed with vinegar. How long do I have to wait for the vinegar to evaporate or can I use now?

Vinegar is safe for the tank. It's used for the odd situation to lower pH if a CO2 reactor is too costly. Some people adjust their kalk with it.

just rinse it out real good and your ready to go. I use it to clean new and used tanks to get them ready to setup.
