E essop3 Guest Jul 30, 2005 #3 polyp SPS are the stoney branchy looking corals. They are harder to care for. Look up staghorn for an example LPS have more fleshy polyps but still have a skeletal base. A little easier than sps. Look up frogspawn for an example
