Dark yellow tang?

I happened to stop by a fish store that sells both sw and fw fish the other day and he had a yellow tang he was selling that looked kinda sick. He was really thin looking and the front half of his body was dark, like a darkbrown or dark green (the lighting wasn't real good). I told the owner, who admitted he knew very little about sw fish, that I would ask about the fish. Any ideas? :help:

I have seen tangs in LFS with dark splotches on them that didn't fade after the lights were on. Also emaciated. I can't really say what it was, but I likely malnutrition, extreme stress and some kind of blushing due to the combination of the the above.
If your LFS is interested in treating the tangs they should try reducing stress and agggresively feed the tangs with quality foods, includes nutrious meaty foods and marine algaes.
