Dog face and Porcupine Puffer compatibility

I currently have a very docile 4-5inch Dogface. He is a little too docile and inactive for my taste. I've always liked Porcupine Puffers, they have always been very active and I like the way they look. i don't want to have to take him back to lfs where he would be in a small stressed out tank. So i've considered getting a porcupine puffer. I've heard puffers don't get along with each other
Do u guys think it "may" work, or do i just have to take him back?????

I've read a lot of stories where a dogface and porcupine don't go together well. It ends up with the porcupine killing the dogface.

depends on size of tank. the dog faced will probably be fine. its' the PP that you will have to worry about. I've done it in a 100 Gallon twice. 1st time the PP would attack the Dog every once in a while - it was a little difficult but I didn't change anything. 2nd time no problems ever.

its really up to chance, you have already got the dogface wich is an advantage, if you had the porky and wanted to add a dogface that probs wont work. but it could do, just up to trying it
