Flying Fish!!!

No not flying fish, but flying fish on an airplaine. I am going to take a trip in sept. to california. I know live rock and fish are a lot cheaper near the coast than in chicago. I was thinking of picking up a couple of things (fish/rock)and taking them on the plane with me. Maybe in a cooler or something. Has anybody had any experience doing this or any info??
Thanks

Different airlines, different rules. I just asked this question the other week, and it can be done if you follow the airlines guidlines.

Most airlines will not allow live fish in the cabin area but they can be transported in cargo area provided you follow their packaging instructions.

I purchased them way in advance and got a good deal. $84 there and $84 back with southwest. for me and my girlfriend. So $336 in total plus tax and the other fees. Good Deal!
