Found this, this morning

Hi, I just noticed this "growth/life" on my LR today. Anyone have any ideas? The rock has been in the tank since June 2005. The entire cluster or group is about 1 inche in length.

It's near the bottom half of the tank and I have 260w of PC's in my 55.

I agree looks like monipora cap. I was told with good water conditions and at least 3 watt per gal. I could keep one. Never did try it thought stoney under 3 watt

. So could be. :joy: Would be a great hitch hiker.

I can't touch one out here for less than $70. and thats a 2 inch frag.

Caps dont grow overnight.Its a type of coraline alg that grows in shapes like caps do.My LFS has a 125 reef as a display that has an area about 6" around with it.It looks awsome.Your lucky.Keep the calcium up
