Gotta Love Tornados!!!

Just had one pass over our house (doppler indicated) and we got pelleted with 2" hail. Thank god for insurance!

Well, its in Iowa now....but there is another band of storms coming through in about an hour....

yikes. I am predicting a basement run tomorrow afternoonish/evening. Nothing like a push of warm air from the south and cold front from the west.
Makes for some great rotation.

oh god I love tornado season! Those are some of the most amazing forces of nature. (except all the damage that goes along with it) This isn't your new house right?

Its gettin' scurrrry!! Dark, windy, temp dropping. I don't like this at night, you can't see anything coming. Nothing worse that hearing that siren at night.

I hate tornados!!! Sleep in the basement. Thats what I do. I campout right in the basement.

Not yet, don't move in for a couple more weeks, however it is only like 1/2 mile away. I called the realtor and told her to get the owners to call their insurance agent to get inspected for hail damage......with any luck I'll get a new roof for free.

Be safe! Those sirens in the middle of the night suck! Last year they went off at 3 am, after two had touched down in Omaha really close to my house. Nothing like waking up panicking....
