I don't think this is a serious issue, but it seems one of my hermit crabs is climbing a cord for my sumbersible filter. I'm just wondering if he's trying to get out for a reason?
I tested last week and everything was at 0 except Nitrates which was at 5 ppm. S.G. is a little high at I think 1.027, but I'm slowly lowering it.
Is my crab just being crazy, or is there a reason he's trying to "excape"?

LOL....I am sure it is just investigating

Yah, I think he is. He seems to munching on something on there. Either way it was funny to look at. These crabs have funny personalties, and wild eyes.

I always think my snails are trying to escape. My brittle star actually made it to the top of the aquarium, climbed on the powerhead, and chopped off one of his arms. I have no idea how he climbed glass but he did. Now I have a 4 legged star and a snake like star crawling around.

You can only hope he will get out.
Crabs are destructive to display tanks, predatory, and useless.

......except as a good food for triggers. The inventor of the "CUC" crew, one of the biggest marketing gimmicks in the hobby, probably also sells "Snuggies". Its amazing how many new hobbiests think a "CUC" is a necessity.
