help with brittle star

The guy I sold my tank to is picking it up tomorrow and I'd like to get my brittle star out of the live rock so I can keep it. Does anyone know of a safe way to get it to come out? I'd appreciate any help. Thanks.

I wasn't afraid of it lol. I just didn't wanna like pull it out of the rocks and rip off an arm or something. They are pretty scary looking though.

Is 3-4 hours long enough acclimation time?

1-1 1/2 hours drip is good

Mmmmm, I would go 3+ hours for a star...they're kinda touchy.

Yeah I ended up leaving him in there for about 3 and 1/2 - 4. Seems to be doing fine now.
