Help with purchasing new ro unit?

I was looking at that bidding site and with so many brand names and different types of Reverse osmosis units what should i be looking for? I would like to spend around $100-$150 on ro system. I am not a water specialist and this is not my field. I need one that the filters are easily changable and easily found in the future and works well. Which one will give me the most bang for my buck? Best water purifying ones? I am clueless and desperately need to invest in one as these buckets to the fish store is getting rediculous...
I am interested in the technical end of it all and dont want just opinions so if there are experts out there, advise would be greatly appreciated...

I use the typhoon III (airwaterice.com). Its a great system and they have all the accessories you may need, ie tubing, float valves etc. to make it an automatic system. Never had a problem and replacement filters are not too expensive.

I got one off the bay for something like $150 shipped. 6 stages. It came with a faucet for my sink which was relatively easy to install (with the right tools), which does 5 stages, then the 6th stage is on it's own tube under the counter that you can pull out and fill up whatever container you want. Even comes with a 3 gallon container. Not good for filling up a 125 with sump from scratch but for doing water changes it works great. Don't remember the brand but is isn't a typhoon or major brand. But zero problems with it in any way. They all pretty much work the same.
