Hi guys, I haven't been on much, lately. I tried to go through my posts to find an old thread and I am missing 5 years of posts.
I have some from 2005, but then nothing until march of 2010. I am missing everything from 10-23-05 to 3-18-2010. Is there any way to get this back? Are those threads lost forever?

Try using the Advanced Search on the top left, and enter your username. I get all yours in between those dates.

That search only yielded 147 results. I have a post count of nearly 2500 which does not count 99% of my posts. (aquarium LOL)
It did, however, have some of the posts from the dates that were missing in the other search. Something fishy
is going on here.

I found my old posts starting with 2003. So i guess they are still there. I searched on my user name and posts 1 year or older.

This is a glitch resulting from the Bulletin Board upgrade. Unfortunately, until the new and improved forum is up and running, we are likely going to have to live with this, and many other problems.

So they are not lost forever, just a hit and miss finding them, right? The specific thread I was looking for was the official insomniac thread. The search function didn't find it either, but maybe insomniac was misspelled.
Thanks Beth.

I just read that about you in the thread that Beth linked. Time for a Google-ectomy.
Yup, google found it. Thanks. I guess I'll have to subscribe to 600,000 threads so I can find them.

You can make folders to put special threads in to find easily.
In 5 years, I only have 30 subscriptions. If I really do end up subscribing to a ton of threads in order to find them, I'll definitely set up folders.

I can delete 2354 of your posts if that would make you feel better.

I just typed up a really long response and it never posted. This new layout is not serving me well.
Thanks, Guy, but I love my post count. It's not very big, but it's mine. Besides, everybody knows that it's post count that makes people smart.
Too bad, really, because I would love to have my "vy" at the end of my username. Of course, now that government motors doesn't want people calling it a Chevy, it doesn't really mean that much.
Since I now know that Cranberry's Google system works to find old threads, I can just do that. Thanks guys, you really are great mods. Speaking of mods, anybody heard from Journeyman lately?
