How big do pods get?

I just fed my tank and observed a pod (I think) that's twice as big as any I've seen so far. Looked like a pod, but it was at least 1/4 in long. Maybe it wasn't a pod?

I have a lot that are over 1/2", but just Amphipods.
I saw a picture of a 36" Cirolanid Isopod from the deep ocean. It was about the size of a small dog.

Don't forget about the sand sifting crabs that this site sells that are actually amphipods and those things get about an inch long.
